Vetta’s telephony services, including Cloud PBX, Cloudphone Plus, and SIP Trunking services, all comply with the TCF industry scam prevention measures and complies with the TCF Scam Prevention Code by implementing the scam calls notification list.
Outbound calling
If a caller ID is reported to be a source of scam or spam calls, calls outbound from our systems with a caller ID matching a reported number will be blocked.
This will be observed in CDR’s as a “404 Not Found” response, and can further be verified by a change in Caller ID.
If you are using a number which is experiencing this issue, and you can confirm that no scam or spam calls are originating from this number, please reach out to our support team with the information below, who will in turn submit a legitimate call notice to the scam calls notification list.
Required information to be submitted:
- Phone number flagged as a scam/spam number (the originating caller ID)
- Information which supports your claim that the calls are legitimate (e.g. the name and type of business generating calls)
- Any information on how this number may have been flagged (e.g. SIP PBX being compromised in the past, bad staff member who has departed etc)
Inbound calling
For customers receiving inbound scam or spam calls, these calls can be reported to our support team, who will in turn report the number as a source of scam or spam calls.
Required information to be submitted:
- Voice tenant
- Call timestamp (exact date & time)
- Source caller ID
- Destination caller ID
- Nature of the scam/spam call
- Call recording (if available)
